MANAGEMENT ESSENTIALS
Strong Teams Start With Strong Managers
Whether you’re stepping into leadership or sharpening the basics, Management Essentials delivers practical, people-focused training to help you lead with confidence. From communication and feedback to accountability and mindset, this course builds the core leadership and interpersonal skills that drive healthy teams and lasting results. It’s a space to reflect, grow, and gain the tools every leader needs to lead well—at any level.
Developing a Leadership Mindset
You’re a great performer, which is more than likely a key reason why you’re in a managerial position today. That said, we know this change can be overwhelming! Before, you were responsible only for your own work; now you’re responsible for the work of many. In this session, we will discuss the differences between being an “individual contributor,” how your responsibilities have now shifted, and where your focus now needs to be since you’re the “Captain of the Ship.”
Enhancing Self-Awareness for Greater Impact
Great leadership starts with knowing yourself. In this session, participants explore their individual results from the OAD Assessment—a behavioral tool that highlights communication preferences, work style, and leadership tendencies. By gaining clarity on their natural strengths and potential blind spots, managers can lead more intentionally and adapt more effectively to those around them. This session lays the foundation for personal growth and stronger team dynamics by beginning with the leader’s self-awareness.
Mastering Communications for Influence & Clarity
When people describe great leaders, strong communication almost always tops the list. In this session, we explore how effective communication builds trust, strengthens relationships, and drives team performance. Participants will learn to communicate with greater clarity and purpose—while also practicing active listening and relational connection. The goal isn’t just to be heard, but to lead with influence, empathy, and intention in every conversation.
Delivering & Receiving Feedback Effectively
Did you know that earning the trust and respect of your followers and team is crucial to your success as a leader? In order to gain trust and respect, you have to set expectations early and clearly with your team and then hold them accountable to those goals. In this session you will learn the art of feedback – How to give it candidly and professionally, and how to not avoid having those conversations. (P.S. You know who craves feedback? Your high performers.)
Creating a Culture of Accountability
Accountability isn’t about micromanaging—it’s about clarity, ownership, and follow-through. In this session, leaders learn how to set clear expectations, hold others accountable with consistency and fairness, and follow up in a way that strengthens trust instead of damaging morale. We’ll also explore how personal accountability sets the tone for the entire team, creating a culture where people follow through, speak up, and take responsibility for results.
Prioritizing What Matters
In leadership, everything can feel urgent—but not everything is important. This session helps managers learn how to focus on what truly moves the needle. Through practical tools and mindset shifts, participants will explore how to identify high-impact work, manage competing demands, and lead their teams with greater intention. The result? Less chaos, more clarity, and better outcomes.
Build Trust to Strengthen Relationships
Trust is the foundation of every strong team—and it starts with how leaders show up. In this session, we explore what builds trust and what breaks it, offering actionable ways for managers to foster transparency, consistency, and connection with their teams. Participants will walk away with tools to deepen relationships, improve collaboration, and lead with authenticity.
